blag or wyt…jara!!!

ill be leaving for manila later today…iloilo has changed a lot but the whole time i was here it felt like i was me back in college…i havent been to miag-ao due to time constraint but still goin’ to the city brings back a lot of memories…sleeping and staying in meggy’s room makes me smile and i even laugh alone when in remember all our insomniac escapades before; it gives a sense of solace…riding the aerodynamic jeepneys makes me travel through time…i am just thankful for the experience coz it reminded me that i have a lot of dreams i conceived in iloilo that i still need to reach and it’s nice to say "sa lugar lang" again.

right now to be with and share the grief of my cousins on my uncle’s death. An envoy as nans would put it, since both my parents will no be able to make it at this short notice. But there could be other reasons why I am here right now….

….i am trying to test my response to unplanned trips, delayed flights, anxiety over the upcoming encounter with the clan that has long been considering to get rid of me from the family tree

…get to spend time with my bro…I wanna see Toto in the environment he is right now as a nursing student and as a grown-up dealing with life…

…have a reunion with my utols in the organization and take a look at the campus that Ive tried to survive in for 4 years…

…get time off from work and re-assess my life and goals…

This are some of the reasons ive had in mind while I was waiting for my flight yesterday…I still have to see what the outcome will be…

I feel though that im off to a good start when I stepped on Iloilo soil and saw dd wearing his med school uniform with the nameplate…and after that being able to taste Ted’s batchoy again…and of course chatting with Toto and hearing his laughter in person…and the nice feeling of being in a familiar territory and everything is plain nostalgic…

last night, i was able to spend time with mayang and bevz, my PS batchmates and former housemates, at carafe. it was a spur of the moment decision while may and i was walking from the office. "one for the road" was the original plan but then bevz took time to join us and we enjoyed ourselves…i miss these gals…yes, we always see each other at work, we’re always together in our cult-building activities, we take our auxes almost at the same time…but last night was different…it was like the days in evangelista when we got to share our dinner of bbq and chicken together or our afternoon snacks of ate’s burger…and the moments when we were financially deprived and bevz would shell out her 5 peso collection so that we may eat what we crave for…just like old times when mayang pawned her cellphone just so the gals can go shopping and we can taste go nuts donuts…it was nostalgic and i really enjoyed the experience last night…i just cant explain it but it feels great to be with the gals again…salamat mga bilatra!
